Meet Brenda
A Voice for Working Families
I was born in California but have called Las Vegas home for 32 years. I come from a family of immigrants who have worked in various industries and overcome many challenges.

As a mother of three girls, I understand the daily struggles many mothers face.
​
I watched my life evolve quickly when my eldest daughter faced challenges early on. She became my reason for involvement. These struggles have given me a greater sense of purpose and determination to build a bridge between families and the school district.

I have been active with my children's School Organizational Team (SOT) for the past 5 years. I understand the desperate need for accessibility and transparency between the school board and families.

I plan to hold our Superintendent accountable for implementing his goals and plans for our schools.
Understanding Barriers
I plan to be the voice on the board who understands the everyday struggles and barriers of our working families in Nevada.
Community Relations
Build and maintain a relationship between the community and the district so students benefit from available resources.
