Meet Brenda
A Voice for Working Families
Brenda comes from a family of immigrants who have worked in various industries and overcome numerous challenges.

As a mother of three daughters currently enrolled in the district, she understands the daily struggles many families face in navigating the educational system.
​
Brenda's involvement in education advocacy began when her eldest daughter faced challenges early on, becoming her catalyst for community engagement. These experiences have given her a greater sense of purpose and determination to build bridges between families and the school district.
​
Her active participation started through involvement in the School Organizational Team (SOT) at her daughters' schools. Having served on the school board for the past four years, she has accomplished significant work in strengthening district-community relations, including the successful reinstatement of Trustee Community Meetings, an important forum for family engagement and transparent dialogue.

Currently serving as a manager at a nonprofit organization, Brenda brings professional leadership experience alongside her deep understanding of the accessibility and transparency needs between the school board and families. Her commitment remains focused on ensuring that all families have a meaningful voice in their children's education.
